HIGH PLAINS HORSE CLINIC/SHOW 2021

     The High Plains Horse Show Committee is so excited to announce that we WILL be hosting an event                                              

                                      June 18th & 19th at Round Up Arena in Dodge City 

The format will be different, but we still plan to help all participants learn and grow as well as have FUN!

TIMED EVENTS    Friday, June 18 5:00-7:30 Clinic

 Clinic Sessions:     Barrels              Pole Bending                   Flag Race

Immediately following the sessions, a competition to show what has been learned in Barrels, Poles and Flag Race will be held. 

Points will be awarded for the first six placings and overall prizes given to the top 3 individual point earners.

Saturday, June 19, there will be Clinicians available for the following events:

PERFORMANCE   Western Horsemanship        Western Pleasure                    ** Trail                                            

RANCH      Ranch Horsemanship                 Ranch Pleasure                           ** Showmanship                               

The sessions will run from 9:00-10:30   10:30-12:00   12:00-1:30  followed by a lunch/rest break.  The “SHOW” will be held beginning at 2:00 to exhibit the skills learned throughout the morning. Points will be awarded for the first six placings and overall prizes given to the top 3 individual point earners in Performance and Ranch.

**Trail & Showmanship clinics are an option in both Trail and Performance areas.

**Points earned in these classes at the “show” will be counted in either Performance OR Ranch point totals

    Cost for one horse CLINIC & SHOW is $100 (additional horse $50)

This clinic is being tailored toward youth participation.  However, adults may participate if they feel they could benefit.

**If participating in both days, arrangements for stalls at Round Up can be arranged by calling Lisa at 620/682-5103.

Each participant may choose three (3) sessions to attend.  Times will be assigned according to number of participants for each session.  Our intent is to keep numbers low so there is more individual time.
